There is not enough time for me to say all I want to say about my marvellous and wonderful Mum. It would take days. She was the kindest most loving person to everyone she came in contact with. She was a marvellous mother, grandmother, great grandmother and wife to my dear departed Dad. She was always smiling and kind to everyone whose life she graced. She never learned to drive, never used a mobile phone or computer and never swore, not even once. She was a ray of shining light to everyone she touched. Basically, she just thought of everyone except herself. Many was the time I looked at her bank statements and saw yet another charity both at home or worldwide that she had added another standing order to donate money too. Like I said, her family, friends and everyone she met always came first. She was the archetypal human angel. When dementia took over so strongly she still retained her dignity and kindness and always thanked and appreciated the wonderful carers who looked after her. She was always so pleased to see me with her “Oh my Son” greeting then continued to call me “nurse” or “doctor”….We lost a lot of the wonderful person she once was but her radiant essence of love and kindness always prevailed. You are at peace now Mum. We will terribly, terribly miss you. Rest in Peace my dear Mum.
